Reminders!!!
- I will be sending conference schedule reminders. PLease attend your child's conference to discuss your child's progress.
- I have been assessing your child's progress in order to be prepared for our conference. We have not been reading our Reading Books. Please know that our regular group time reading will resume after conferences.
- Homework packets are due every Monday! Reading books in Reading Book Bag should be returned each Kindergarten day! They should be read every night!
- I urge you to sit with your child and go over completed and corrected work. Talk with your child about their accomplishments and understanding of the concept, as well as incorrect answers. This way, your child's learning is reinforced and uncertainty is clarified.

Welcome to Kindergarten!
Welcome to the Monday/Wednesday Kindergarten Homepage! My name is Ana Hochhalter and I will be teaching the Monday/Wednesday Kindergarten, and The Highly Capable Program. I am originally from Southern California and this is my thirteenth year of teaching here at South Ridge Elementary. After completing my undergraduate degree at U.C.L.A., I received my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction at Portland State University. My husband, Mark and I have four children of our own. I look forward to getting to know all of your children and working with you to help them become excellent readers and writers. Thank you for the encouragement, support, and all of the wonderful things you have done to help prepare your child for school.
